Starlux is expanding its presence in Japan's Kansai region with new services to Kobe Airport.
From April 18, Starlux will launch two new routes to/from Kobe – from Taipei Taoyuan and Taichung.
Starlux will operate three weekly flights (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday) on between Taipei and Kobe. The inaugural flight will operate on a Friday. Between Taichung and Kobe, the airline will operate daily flights. Airbus A321neo aircraft will be used on both routes.
The new services to Kobe will add to Starlux's presence in Japan's Kansai region, where it currently operates daily flights between Taipei and Osaka Kansai Airport.
Starlux will be the first airline to operate international flights to/from Kobe – located 30 kilometers west of Osaka. Built on a man-made island similar to Kansai Airport off the coast of Kobe, Kobe Airport primarily serves domestic flights.
Kobe will be Starlux's 11th destination in Japan, where it currently operates flights from Taiwan to Tokyo Narita, Nagoya, Osaka Kansai, Sendai, Hakodate, Sapporo, Takamatsu, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, and Okinawa.
